Long Time, No See...

Just in case anyone thinks Griffin has moved to Abu Dhabi, he's still hanging in O-Town and having a good old time. The reason potamus.com has dropped off the radar is entirely a side-effect of my last month of graduate school. Soon USF will be a thing of the past and G Dawg's every move can be documented and chronicled for his future embarrassment.

When I'm not in class, I take Griffin to play chess at the San Leandro Mall. I also like to let him go off-leash at Target because I've realized I can quickly draw a crowd of bored sales ladies who entertain my child while I read trashy celebrity magazines and linger over Glade scented candles. We find ways to entertain ourselves, but sadly the fear of imminent pandemic makes roaming megastores with mouthy toddlers even more nerve wracking. Gotta keep lots of non-alcoholic hand sanitizer on hand.

I will attempt to post pictures and video of Griffin even if I have no time to make witty comments about them. It's all about Griffin, anyway.

Keep an eye out for some postings from our April trip to Louisiana. Here's a teaser.

This is Griffin on Easter wearing an outfit Jake's Mom bought for him in 1979. It's held up well.

Hurray for the month of May and Mom getting finished with school!

Our little Mister has definitely grown in the night since Easter. Whether he's enjoying hanging out in the hammock swing, lugging big pawns around, wearing strawberries on his head or putting up with wearing Dad's toddler outfit - whatever!? - He's adorable.

Watching G tote those pawns around gave me a flashback of his granddad Chris putting things in order amid the chaos. Makes my heart yearn!

BTW, I picked up some summertime duds for the ever-growing Griffin last time I was at the Chez Mart of Wal. I'll try to get them in the mail tomorrow. I'm determined to keep my promise and be a better Granny!
